DENTURES AND PARTIALS

What is a Denture and Partial Denture

A denture is a full replacement of teeth that can be taken in and out of your mouth. A partial denture is a partial replacement of teeth to compliment your existing teeth still in place. Dentures and partials are made with an acrylic material that look like natural teeth and gums.

What happens during the process of a making a Denture?

To make a denture, there are a few steps that need to be done. An impression will need to be made to make the base plates for the dentures. The base plates will be made with wax which is used to make measurements for the type of teeth and how the teeth need to be placed to get your natural look. The teeth that were chosen will then be placed in the wax to look like a wax denture which will then be checked to make sure it achieves the correct look that was intended in the mouth. If it is correct, the denture will be made from the wax piece which will result in a great, natural looking acrylic denture or partial. You will be consulted with about the process of the denture or partial so that you know what steps you need and appointments.

How could you benefit from a Denture or Partial?
