Types of Dental Implant Procedures

What are Dental Implant Procedures?

Dental implants are continuing to become a popular procedure that people want. Not only do they help with function, but they look great, and also can last a lifetime. Some dental implant procedures include single and bridge implants, removable snap-in dentures, and fixed implant supported dentures.

Single Implants

Single implants are implants used to replace single teeth or a couple of teeth. When replacing a single tooth, a single implant is used to replace a single tooth with a single implant crown. A single implant or more can also be used to replace a couple of teeth. This would be the same way a dental bridge is created, except the implants would hold the bridge in place instead of your natural teeth.

Removable Snap-in Dentures

Removable snap-in dentures are a procedure completed with implants that support a denture in place. This denture is fitted to be removable, the snap-in feature.

Fixed Implant Supported Dentures

Fixed implant supported dentures are a procedure similar to the removable, but the dentures are fitted to be fixed in place instead of removable.

Implants

There are more dental procedures, but these are a few of the more popular procedures. Everyday more and more individuals want implant procedures done around the world. Not only is this industry growing, but there are several advantages in getting implants compared to less permanent procedures.
